Of course if this isn’t a case of a bastard child, then it most likely means that the hotel I work at is using copyrighted material for it’s own use.

You ever hear those people talk (you know the ones were you work) who say they love their job. Well I’ve decided to jump on the bandwagon. I don’t want to left out any more when I talk to these corporate shills. But me being me, I do have one minor variation to this love of the job.

Ok so I love my job. I love the work I do. It’s the people I hate. And when I say the people, I mean all the people. The customers and the people I work with, I hate them all. I hate the people on the phone. I hate them be it phone reservations or just some lazy fuck calling for bus information.

So can I be one of those annoying I love my job people? No I didn’t think so. Sometimes I just want to strangle those lying empty pathetic bastards.

Because I feel that those people who say they love their jobs are liars. Sure maybe sometimes I like my job. Maybe sometimes I may even love my job. Sometimes I even enjoy doing my job. But not all the damn time.

Liars are bad people and lets not forget that. If a guy tells me they are going to order shirts for the front desk, then they better get their bald ass in gear and order the damn shirts.

But then I’m just saying this as I think out loud.

Well I went looking for a special link because the front desk has a meeting tomorrow with the pointy haired bosses. Business Buzzword Bingo! is what I found. I’m eager to see if the guy has a vocabulary worthy of this game taken from Dilbert.

Well I wish him luck. Because he’s going to need it.

Did you know that there are 3 r’s and 4 f’s? And I’m not shitting you here. Fuck, finding out about these kinds of things blows my mind. For that matter the fact that someone has the motto “Clean is green” kind of blows my mind all over again. Here are the f’s and r’s for those of you that may have an intrest in this kind of shit:

I only bring this up because it’s something I just found out about today. And I’m really big on learning new things.

Well all good things come to an end. Sometimes even all bad things come to an end. This is a case of the later. The people who stepped in to manage the place when the Old Owners dumped us have went the way of the dodo. To commemorate this event I have thrown up a page that chronicles this time of the hotel.

The bottom of every page had a link the their pathetic website. This has been removed. I’m going to give the link one last time and then it won’t be mentioned again. It’s a joke that doesn’t have a punch line any more. And I hate having to explain a joke. In their time at the hotel they had two managers that tried to direct the hotel to something better. Tried is the operative word here.

The first guy who was in charge had a saying that he always referred to. “Tools to do the job.” This was always mentioned when ever you would ask a question that the guy couldn’t answer. That and his pathetic football references. It goes without saying that as a person in charge I had no respect for him or his so called expertise in this field. The brits have a word for a guy like this. Wanker.

The second was a different story. The Dude as I called him was the first GM to openly come to the site (I only say this because I know for a fact the putz before the Dude viewed the site more than once). To this day I still don’t know what I thought of him. I think he was ok. He gets points for coming to the site and not giving me shit for it. At least that I know of. That’s the problem with these types of people. To your face they could act like your best friend. Behind your back is a different story. In the end it doesn’t really matter.

It all comes done to my “me vs. them” way of thinking. I admit that this is a bad way to handle the people I work for. It’s just the way I am. The only thing about this whole period that brings a smile to my face is the rumor I was told by a former F&B. I was told that the last three GM’s were under orders to fire me. The fact that I’m still here and they are not does bring a smile to my face, true or not.

Have I ever mentioned the fact I hate the whole business/sports metaphor? I may have mentioned this before. Back when the jackass before “The Dude” was here and his what seemed like endless spewing of football metaphors. TOUCHDOWN and Liars In The News are good examples of what I’m talking about. Here is the latest one:

“..everyone who is currently employed at the hotel will have the opportunity to join my team..”

I just don’t like the wording there. The opportunity? Well I’m sorry to inform you of this. But if you want an Audit team, your going to have to join my team. I’m not joining any more teams. In fact the last team I joined was the high school football team. Ok?

Or for that matter you may have the opportunity to keep me hired. But then that’s your prerogative. There is a lot of opportunities. You just have to know where to look.
