I tell you there is nothing like another stick of 256mb of ram to give you a sigh of relief. I had in the past some problems with a few games. For example some of the Quake 3 based games like RTCW and the Allied Assault demo.

If I ran these game with everything set to high I’d get some stuttering and shit like that. And that shouldn’t happen. Not with my rig. So I slapped more ram and bingo. Man that Windows XP is a hungry bitch.

Well you win some and you lose some. My computer has decided to take a crap on me. When I boot up I get this wonderful Windows XP blue screen of death:

I think that I need a new hard drive.

Well the new hard drive did the trick. I think. Windows 98SE is installed again and seems stable. None of the funky things have happened like with the old hard drive. I have to get to work, but in the morning I’m going to install XP on the second partition and dual boot.

Man I hope everything is cool now with my home PC. My new EverQuest guy made level 8 last night. I’ve been having fun with Kraig taking me under his wing showing me what to do.

Well I keep the site updated to the fate of my Windows 98SE/XP dual boot. I’m crossing my fingers.

Free Surfer is the download of the day. I have been meaning to put this up for a long time and just keep forgetting. Free Surfer is a free pop up window killer. It’s the best I’ve tried. It kills all the pop up and under adds my site generates.

I wanted to shout out to everyone who views the site, messing with the chance this will ruin my solid uptime with the computer. Everything is working out peachy, so far. I think the new CD-ROM did the trick. I have some more stuff to install and I will get back to you.

It’s strange. I happened to get the energy to fuck with the computer today. I figured for a hoot I would try to install XP again. The really strange thing is that the installation went off without a hitch. Almost.

I have yet to get the sound card drivers installed, so I hope that’s the reason the sound isn’t on. Windows recognized my GeForce 3 card and my modem. I got to ride my bike over to Troy’s and get my copy of Warcraft 3 over here to test out my system.
