My old buddy Lumpy is in town. Him and the wife have came up from Arizona to visit me and the Izers. Lumpy will be in town for about a week. He has a funny way of knocking on your door when you least expect him. But that’s what makes Lumpy special in a extra chromosome way. I love the guy.

Well I was written up for the shit I described on April 25th. The worthless piece of shit, the front Desk Manager, couldn’t even give it to me in person. No he had it on my timecard waiting for me. I was amazed that they wrote me up for it. I still can’t believe it.

So I figured I would talk to the Assistant General Manager and use logic to argue my side. Fuck that. Logic isn’t something you can use on these lobotomized excrement ridden fools. She was quite to the point that I am to be at the desk at all times. Doesn’t matter if I have nothing to do. Or if the first shift is there. I tried to make my defense as honest and truthful as I could without out right lying.

On a good note Menard$ has called and offered me a job. I told them that I had gave my two week notice. But, I’m not sure I can leave. I afraid of the change. After six years of this hotel I don’t know anything else. The longer I wait is just less of a notice I give the old HI. Will see.

On another note, I would like to add the Banquet Bartending Manager to the list of non-excrement Managers. He is a hell of a nice guy. One of a few at the hotel.

I know its been a while since I added any thing to my site. I would have, but I have been playing Starcraft the last couple of weeks. I had a run of bad luck. On April 1st my car broke down. This was the day that Starcraft came out. Needles to say I spent half a day in Rockford because of it. Great game. My Dad thinks it is a “stupid fucking game”. He’s entitled to his opinion.

There is a small rumor that a few employee’s are trying to start a Union. Good luck I say.

I still haven’t developed my pictures from vacation. And I still I haven’t got my pictures from the Employee Christmas party. But here is three that are from the first night in Florida at King Henrys Feast. Me and Troy look like we just got are mugshots taken. His wife Bob looks nice as ever. She’s too nice for the Harpy Page. Anyway I plan to have more pictures up when I can pay to develop more film.

When I came into work last night I found another interesting memo. My old buddy John , who had been night manager, was shit canned yesterday. I had been into work around two o’clock to pick up my check and no one had said anything. I stopped in Wednesday night after seeing a movie and talked to John then. He didn’t say anything about getting fired. So it seems that this was a kind of a spur of the moment thing. Its sad that this has to happen whatever the reason. John knew what he was doing, and in the hotel that’s always nice. He could work the desk, he could run the restaurant. He had been there longer than me. I’m Just about the only one left who remembers the “old days”. So it goes. Anyway I’ve got two copies of the memo. Click the thumbs to enlarge.

I’m back. I don’t feel any better. In fact I’m as pissed as ever. It seems nothing ever changes at the Hotel. I guess I’m an idiot for hoping, no wishing something would change. I’ve worked at that fucking Hotel for damn near six years now. But, sometimes I don’t think the people in charge know this. I went in to check when I go back in and found this nice memo. I guess congratulations are in order. Of course I (and I’m biased here) think its pretty fucking funny how this putz who’s been working there only a couple of months gets a promotion.
