	EQ Emulation! 4:32 pm-Turk Comments (9) Misc Shots Permalink (No Ratings Yet) Me, Gawain, and Purify have been tearing around the lands of Norrath for the last few hours. It seems that there is a working EQ emulator out and you can find it here. Lot’s of kinks still need to be worked on, but it is playable. Below is a screen of the group as we killed polar bears in the Everfrost: It’s a nice change of pace from running around Camelot. But it’s just a diversion. If you want to join in the fun just follow these directions and look for the server called “Turk’s DAoC Retreat” and see if you can get in. *Updated with a pic of my guy with the fancy graphics enabled.

Here are three shots of me and my prestigious patron. These are from the computer at work and they are at 800×600: I’m having more fun playing EverQuest this time. Now if I could only get my PC at home to start working again. I’m picking up a hard drive this morning. So I hope that will do the trick.

	Evercrack Again! 2:35 am-Turk Comments (0) Games Permalink (No Ratings Yet) EverQuest is another one of those things that make me think I’m starting to have some kind of bad karma, technology speaking. I decided to load it up again and have had some big problems. First is the fact I had a nice big patch to download. That only took an hour, so I guess it could have been worse. I know it could be worse because at work it took just about two hours with my 28.8 internet connection. To make matters worse, once I got the game loaded up and picked my server I ran into the next big stumbling block. After rolling a new character up and trying to get in the game I kept getting kicked back to the desktop. I’m hoping it was because I had the computer on the whole day fighting with Soldier Of Fortune 2. So I hope it was because my GeForce 3 was running to hot. And forget SOF2. I just don’t have the hardware to run that bad boy. My video card is ok. But perhaps my AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.2 is just not strong enough to play SOF2 with all settings on high. It doesn’t seem right. And maybe it’s because SOF2 is a bug ridden piece of software. I hope that’s the case.

	Evercrack! 6:49 pm-Turk Comments (0) EverQuest Permalink (No Ratings Yet) Well I went and picked up the Everquest Trilogy and a Everquest Game Card. I’ve been doing nothing but play Everquest since yesterday. It is slightly addictive if your into this kind of hack and slash rpg type game. Here is a shot of my pathetic Level 5 Warrior named Raethdar: I couldn’t get any names that I wanted. They were all taken. So my dude is Raethdar. A few time I forgot to respond to people talking to me because of my kinda gay name. I don’t really know if I dig this Everquest thing yet. It’s kind of like how I feel about Enterprise. That new Star Trek show, that doesn’t have the words Star Trek in the title. I will be watching it tonight. I just don’t like the singing in the opening music. Time will tell if it’s any good.
