So Mr. No modding, No cheating, No editing, Straight up is it finally got Dungeon Siege patched up. Which of course is very ironic seeing how I immediately get the following error upon commencing patching:

Well thanks to the verifydata=true command line parameter I know what resource files are fucked up. Now let’s just see how many times I have to copy the problem files over before it goes.

Now I don’t know shit about the details of this subject. I’m not even going to try to come off as knowing what the hell I’m talking about. There are places for that. First let me just say I liked the movie Underworld. I don’t give a shit if it was swiped from those fags at White Wolf or not.

From what I’ve read the movie is not a swipe. Also if you read the Lawsuit and you have half a brain you may come to the same conclusion that Gawain did. And that would put you in good company. You really have to read the Rebuttal he wrote, because (besides being pretty damn funny) it makes sense. And you don’t have to have played the pen and paper rpg to know this.

Do you play D&D? Do you play D&D 3rd Edition? If you answer yes to both of these questions have I got a game for you. Temple of Elemental Evil is the game. It’s made by the guys at Troika, who you may remember from Arcanum. And if your in the know, you may remember a little game called Fallout that some of the developers in Troika helped make.

Temple of Elemental Evil is the closet thing to actually playing pnp D&D. It even incorporates the 3.5 rules into the game. But of course there are the bugs. There is no official patch for the game (yet), but a group of fans came up with a unofficial patch witch can be found here.

The game of course is very in depth, the combat portion of game play alone made me dig out my Players Handbook. The last three screenshots show off the various radial menu belonging to the combat selection.

That first shot is just for Gawain (who I like to poke fun at), it show I rolled my stats 275 times before I got something that made me happy. Is that cheating?

So I finally got around to getting me one of Gawain’s I download Illegal MP3s Online t-shirts. I would have got one a lot sooner, but I have been broke most of the time. He’s got a lot of cool stuff over at his store and I recommend you all go take a look and buy shit.

I also went and pre-ordered me a game I’ve watched from afar. It’s a game called Massive Assault. The game caught my eye just because for some reason it reminds me of my beloved Total Annihilation. Just check out these shots of the game:

Of course the game has nothing in common really with my favorite rts game. Can you believe from that screenshot that this game is turn based? It blew me away when I read up on it. It’s a true war-game. It has that whole hexed based thing going on, you just don’t see it. This page over at the games site explains it a lot better. The system requirements surprised me as well. It only needs 600 MHz CPU and a 32 meg video card. Which isn’t really asking a lot.

Work is the usual. Which is neither good nor bad. I was asked recently about this post by a friend. They know that I had been working on some website related stuff for the hotel and they wanted to ask about my demands. They wanted to make sure I hadn’t forgot what I had stated a number of times. Below are those “demands” I had asked for before I would do any website related stuff for the hotel:

1. I need a decent pc out at the frontdesk. Because I will not come in any other time. Third shift is when I work.
2. I need a raise.
3. I need a internet connection for at work, paid by work.

Now one and three have been met. Number two is looking like it will never happen. My friend suggested that I was being a hypocrite. I admit that maybe true. But if certain situations at work happen as I am told they will, I will suddenly become very uncooperative on the website related stuff. After all I’m only paid to be a night auditor. No more, no less.

It’s Gawain’s fault. I want that to be known in advance. But I’m like totally mesmerized by this. But I’m getting ahead of myself. When at work I kind of depend on Gawain, he keeps me entertained while I’m at work. He sends me funky links, music, just all kinds of shit. But this latest one just is strange.

Of course it’s this video that just blows my mind. I did a little research on the dude who sings it with varying results. I really only want to know what the hell the dude is singing. Because the video is a trip. I’m not sure what the hell is going on in it.The guy is named Daler Mehndi. He has a website even, which can be found here. If you dig this guys music and need more head over top this fan page here which offers a few more Real files and a few mp3. And if you really fancy this guy and his music you can become an ordained minister in his religion. I even found a link to a page about the cars this dude owns, which has a funny quote:

I only mention it just because of the stereotype one assumes about people from that part of the world. Strange stuff. But oddly entertaining. Remember you have been warned.

So going by Gawain’s results my site is 41% more evil than his site. Of course being the kind of guy to tinker with this kind of shit I found that the results do vary based on the words it picks up on your pages.
