Well file this one under the I don’t get it dept. I know I shouldn’t be complaining about getting a raise. But, that’s just the way I am. I still can’t shake my feeling that its me against the managers. I had asked the old GM about the possibility of getting a raise. It was around budget time, so I figured the time was right. Its no big deal raise or no. If I get one great. If I don’t, it not the end of the world. Well I got one.

I’m not supposed to discuss raises with other employee’s, so I wont talk about it here. I’m a changed man. At least not in US Currency. I received a 7.43 pesos raise. So I make about 86.64 pesos an hour. By the way the Currency Conversion was done here.

I feel this was a decent raise, for this hotel. But I still don’ get why? Other than the fact I do a good job. I hope. But, why give me a raise? I would rather see some of the other employee’s get raises. Someone who say has been working there for seventeen years. A guy who causes no problems. A guy who does everything they ask. He does more than he is supposed to. My question is did he get a raise? Because I feel a little bad about my raise.

It’s just not right. Now I don’t know for sure if this guy got a raise or not. I sure hope he did. If he didn’t, well that’s another matter. This guy in question started a collection for the parting GM. He contributed his hard earned money to get the GM a gift. Now I guess this is what really bugs me. The hotel never has taken care of the employee’s that deserved it. It just makes me mad. I also have ran out of steam. I will find out if the guy I mentioned got a raise.
